What is Leigonella?

Legionella is a pathogenic Gram negative bacterium. It is the causative agent of legionellosis including Legionnaires' disease which is a potentiall fatal form of pneumonia which can affect anybody, but which principally affects those who are susceptible because of age, illness, immunosuppression, smoking etc. Legionella bacteria can also cause less serious illness which are not fatal or permanently debilitating.

Legionella is common with at least 50 species and 70 serogroups identified and are often encountered in environmental sources which may eventually colonise manufactured water systems and be found in cooling tower systems, hot and cold water systems and other plant which use or store water.

What else do GES Technology do?

GES Technology also help save the environment with their Energy 'Economise'!
Read on to find out more...

Why Do Businesses Need to be Environmentally Friendly?

Being ‘green’ saves businesses huge amounts of money and enhances an organisations reputation to help the environment. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?

What is Monitoring and Targeting?

The purpose of monitoring and targeting is to relate your energy consumption data to the weather and other factors to analyse how your energy is being used. In particular, it will identify if there are signs of avoidable waste and highlight opportunities to
reduce consumption.

Economise

Our system is a market leading energy monitoring solution. The system is entirely wireless, easy to adopt and has the flexibility to meet our customers needs. Economise consists of high quality hardware and easy to use software that clearly illustrates consumption patterns.

How it Works…

Ecochirps are fitted strategically around your building to measure your energy consumption.
All of the data is then sent to our data hub, the RT:Wi5 which sends the information to Globanet software or a third parties. This enables you to view the consumption of your building(s) and devise a monitoring and targeting plan which can potentiallysave a company thousands of pounds within the first two years. Waste is minimised as leaks are recognised early by the software which identifies constant flow rate and can be set to send an alarm to notify a set user. As the system runs automatically, you can rest easy knowing that a SMS or e-mail alarm will notify you of any problems.

Key Benefits:

• Maintenance free.
• Wireless.
• 2 km range.
• exclusive licensed frequency.
• Software is web-based.
• Can be integrated into existing BMS or Modbus .
• Discovers energy conflicts.
• Identifies overnight waste.
• Monitors total energy usage by source and location.

What is Aqua Flush?

Aquaflush is a patented control device that can be fitted to sentinel outlets to automatically perform routine flushing and temperature monitoring in accordance with ACoP L8. All Aquaflush units are battery powered and are housed in a reversible enclosure that allows for installation on both left and right hand sides of the basin. Once installed, Aquaflush will perform an automated flushing of the cold and then the hot water, with the test water running directly into the waste. Once the test is complete, all temperature data is fed back to
GNET24 for viewing via the on-site Wi-5 Data Hub.

What is Gnet24?

Gnet24 is the web-based user interface and reporting software for GES technology’s aquavision system. Gnet24  is updated every hour with data from deployed aquaflush and tempsense units via on-site Wi5 Data Hubs.

How does it work?

On receipt of this data, Gnet24 analyses the information looking for temperature threshold
breaches. If breaches are identified, an alarm will be generated and distributed via email to supervisors and maintenance personnel assigned to the site. This allows for remedial action to be taken swiftly, avoiding any potential build-up or breakout of Legionella.
Records of breaches, temperature profiles and weekly sentinel test results are stored within Gnet24 electronically for six years and provide a well structured and transparent platform for HSE audits.

Key Benefits and Features

• Automated and paperless web based
Legionella  control system
• Reports distributed monthly via email to
registered distribution list
• User friendly graphical displays
• Visibility of multiple sites from a single location
• On screen and email alarms
• Web based software avoids any initial
investment in back office systems
• Temperature profiles on individual assets
• Multi-tier password protection
• Administration and user level logins
• Electronically filled log books
• Auditable tracking of breach notification and
remedial works carried out.
• Responsible person notified of any
temperature breach within 1 hour of event
• Availability of information can facilitate a
planned predictive maintenance strategy
• Peace of mind

What is Aqua Vision?

Aquavision is a highly innovative,  cost-effective and fully automated system that has been developed to assist Water Treatment, Facilities Management and Property Management companies to comply with
current legislation and health and safety law .
Practical advice and guidelines on how to comply can be found in  the UK Health and Safety Commissions (HSC) ACoP L8 Approved Code of Practice and Guidance, document entitled “Legionnaires  Disease: The control of legionella bacteria in water systems”

How it Works…

There are three hardware elements to the system which when combined  provide a fully integrated way to remotely monitor water storage and delivery of temperatures on individual or multiple sites. The system also performs automatic flushing and temperature testing of sentinel outlets in accordance with Table 1 ACoP L8.

Routine temperatures and weekly sentinel test results are collected locally via radio and then are re-transmitted via GPRS, Wi-Fi or Ethernet LAN to a web-based portal for the management company to review. Should a temperature be reported that is outside of the ACoP L8 guidelines, an alarm will be sent via email to a list of designated addresses so that remedial action can be taken swiftly and a potential outbreak of legionella avoided.

Key Benefits:
• Maintenance free
• Wireless Solution / no cables
• Easily retro-fitted onto existing infrastructures
• Web based monitoring of multiple sites
• Reduced manpower and travel costs
• No investment in back office software required
• Automatically filled electronic  log books
• Weekly flushing, to limit growth of Legionella
• Dynamic alarm generation
• Elimination of human error
• Transparent and structured basis for HSE audits
• Carbon friendly alternative to traditional methods
• Peace of mind
